Mojo Monday 12/30, CAS-ual Fridays 1/03, CCMC 1/02 Challenges

Mojo Monday 12/30, CAS-ual Fridays 1/03, CCMC 1/02 Challenges

Last week I created a card for three challenges. You can click on the title of each challenge to go to the challenge page. Mojo Monday is always a sketch, CFC varies and this week was a word inspiration challenge (read below), and CCMC varies as well and was a color challenge this week. I had fun making this card and I am going to try and keep up this time ESPECIALLY with the new Stampin' Up! 2014 Occasions Mini AND Sale-A-Bration coming up! I have a workshop on the 31st, but plan to get some "practice" using my new goodies when they arrive this week and show you guys. Anyway, let's get to it...

2. CAS-ual Fridays - Word Inspiration Challenge

"Instead of a resolution, choose a word that describes what you hope for the new year.
maybe it's LOVE if you want to work on your relationships, or DO if you want to challenge yourself to something, or LAUGH if you want to lighten up, etc.
Use that word as the inspiration for your card, and keep it Clean And Simple"

Here is my finished product...

Ingredients:

Paper:
- Very Vanilla Cardstock (one 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 and one 1 x 3)
- Strawberry Slush Cardstock (4 x 4)
- Strawberry Slush DSP (4 x 1 1/2)
- Bermuda Bay Cardstock (3 x 1 1/2)

Ink:
- Bermuda Bay Ink Pad
- Stazon Black Ink

Stamp Sets:
 Truly Grateful#
- Magnificent Maple#

Embellishments:
- Basic Black Candy Dots
- Bermuda Bay Taffeta Ribbon

#2013 Holiday Catalog Item *no longer available :-(

Just a few things that may not be obvious just by looking at the card:
- I used the wood or hay (whatever it is) like stamp in the Truly Grateful set and stamped it in Bermuda Bay ink on the Bermuda Bay cardstock.
- The ribbon is glued to the back of the Strawberry Slush Cardstock using glue dots.
- The banner which I made out of the Very Vanilla Cardstock and my scissors, is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals (only place used).

I think this card can be used for a lot of reasons and shows that some holiday sets can be diverse! Perhaps I will give this to a friend just because or for a birthday?

Hope you enjoy!

  2. Your final comment was exactly what I thought when I saw this card - that it is a holiday set but works great for another occasion. Love that! I also love the clean lines of your card. Great job combining the layout and colors. Thanks for joining us this week at Create with Connie and Mary.

  3. What a nice thank you card...or any occasion. I love the chevron woodgrain stamp behind the greeting...gives the illusion of texture. Thanks for playing the Create with Connie and Mary color challenge this week!
