Mojo Monday 1/6, CAS-ual Fridays 1/3, Pals Paper Arts 1/6 Challenge #1

Mojo Monday 1/6, Pals Paper Arts 1/6, CAS-ual Fridays 1/03 Challenge #1

I decided to do FIVE challenges this week, but have been so busy I just didn't have the time to think of a card to incorporate ALL five. Also, two were sketches so that wouldn't have worked either. I was so tired I almost didn't do my challenges, but somehow got myself up and did it. You can click on the title of each challenge to go to the challenge page. Click here for my second card and here for my third challenge I did today!

2. CAS-ual Fridays - Word Inspiration Challenge

"Instead of a resolution, choose a word that describes what you hope for the new year.
maybe it's LOVE if you want to work on your relationships, or DO if you want to challenge yourself to something, or LAUGH if you want to lighten up, etc.
Use that word as the inspiration for your card, and keep it Clean And Simple"

Here is my finished product...

Ingredients:

Paper:
- Whisper White Cardstock (one 2 1/2 x 3)
- Real Red Cardstock (4 1/4 x 5 1/2)
- Soft Sky Slush DSP (4 x 5 1/4)
- Sweater Weather DSP# (1 1/2 x 5 1/4)

Ink:
- Soft Sky Ink Pad
- Real Red Ink Pad

Stamp Sets:
- Whimsical Words
- Petite Petals**

Punches/Die-Cuts/Framelits/Embossing Folders:
- Petite Petals Punch**
- Window Frames Collection Framelits

#2013 Holiday Catalog Item *no longer available
**2014 Occasions Mini Item

Just a few things that may not be obvious just by looking at the card:

- I sponged the piece of white cardstock using the sponges (also sold by stampin' up) in Soft Sky ink.
- The flowers were stamped on a piece of scrap whisper white cardstock.
- I used the Window Framelits on another piece of real red to get the red piece sitting under the white sponged piece with the sentiment on it.
- The red window frame piece is glued to the white piece and is popped up using dimensionals. I also popped the flower fully on top of the DSP up on a dimensional.

Hope you enjoy!
