Back in July, I started a challenge of my own called the Do-Over Challenge. I decided that each month I am going to take a card that I made a few years ago, when I first became a demonstrator and re-do it, with a little creative freedom of course. The challenge is that the card I am redoing has to have at least one retired stamp or color and I have to create a new card using current stamps and current colors.
Check out the first Do-Over Challenge here.
This month I am redoing the card below that I made using the old Secret Garden stamp set.
Like I said, I gave myself a little creative freedom so I didn't use the ink blending technique and decided to do something I hadn't done in a few years, make homemade designer series paper a.k.a dsp!
This is where you take a sheet of any color cardstock you choose and you just make a design using stamps and ink to cover the whole sheet. Some people do this on scraps, some using 8 x 11 (like me), and others using 12 x 12 to mimic the full dsp you can order from Stampin' Up!.
Below is the one I made for this card.

I also made this one (see below), but you will have to wait until next week to see what I did with it!
The idea is just to have fun. It doesn't even have to be perfect! You can use it immediately, share it with others in a swap like I used to do, or store it wherever you store your DSP and have a nice stash of your own creations waiting to be used! I had some left over for each so best believe you will see it again!
Hope you all like the idea and I would love to see what homemade DSP you all have made so please leave a comment below linking to your own creations!
