Card Candy: Jar of Love & VIDEO

I have been waiting to do this post for a while now, but just didn't have the right stamp set to use for my first one! Once I got my Jar of Love stamp set, I knew it was the one!

What is Card Candy you ask? Card Candy is simply pre-made embellishments that are ready to go when needed.

When made for others, it usually comes in a set, packaged in a bag with a topper, and each piece is coordinated with each other. When finished, you stick dimensionals (or your choice of adhesive) on the back and leave the backing on it so that whoever you are giving it to can keep it safe from sticking to anything until ready to use.

It has been so long since I made Card Candy. I made a few sets for Card Candy Swaps back when I was a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator in 2012 - 2014. What I didn't realize though, making ONE is easy, making 10-15 for a Swap...OH EM GEE! Keep in mind I think I did about 3 of them in a month's timeframe. Boy was I exhausted! Note to self, only ONE Card Candy Swap a month lol.

The best part was getting 10-15 Card Candy packages back! I won't lie though, I have tons of them and I haven't used any of them LOL. Mainly because they are so pretty! Weird right? I do look through them every once in a while, along with the tons of cards I got through swaps, for ideas and inspiration. Below is another one I made.

Below is an example of one of the sets I made for a Swap. It is probably the hardest one I have ever done because I used a lot of velum and framelits and I believe this one I had to make 10, 11 if you count the fact that I always made one for myself to keep.

For those of you who are very visual, I also created a YouTube video showing exactly how I made the Card Candy set featured in this post so check it out by just clicking on the picture below or here!

Below are two examples of how you can use Card Candy. I made a set of jars, just like I did in the above video, and just had to align them on the card how I wanted it. All of the stamping and cutting was done. The second one is actually a CASE (Copy And Share Everything) from the Stampin' Up! '16 - '17 Annual catalog, page 133, with a little twist.

One thing not listed in the product listing below, but explained in the video, I used parchment paper as the base to stick the card candy on.
